born in Kharkov, Ukraine, former USSR. My family came to the United States in 1991 and settled in Cleveland, Ohio.  

I had worked as a professional electronic engineer in Ukraine and US for more than 30 years.  I had retired in 2010

I purchased my first own camera in 1994, and since then I had steadily used photography in an effort to realize my longtime dreams for artistic expression.

 My passion is an art genre  “Still Life”. I am trying  put together ordinary  things  of our life , including elements of our local flora,  and create piece of art work. 

 Since 1999 I participated in several photography art shows  and the hobby grew into a professional pursuit. 

In 2006 I took part in “All Women All Art “ show in Woodmere’s Opus Galery, Cleveland, OH. My work of Still Lifes was reviewed by Zahary Lewis in the “ Cleveland Scene” newspaper  (August 23, 2006), who writes:

“ … Victoria Dumesh’s digital photography is particularly  memorable. Applying modern technology to a traditional genre , Dumesh shoots intricate arrangements of flowers in glass cases, in lovely outdoor settings. A painter would capture these rather academic scenes in deep, lush colors and shadowy patterns of refracted sunlight. But Dumesh has no use for paints, since her high-resolution camera renders the compositions with the softness of a brush and a vibrant, living presence that’s almost surreal…”

In 2008 I was presented with the Best in Show Award for my  photograph “Tulips in the Morning” by The Mandel JCC 38th Juried Photography Exhibition, (Juried by Robert Thurmer), Cleveland, OH.  

My Awards also include 1-st prize at the Annual Digital Photography Contest “Focus on the World” sponsored by Cedar Center Motophoto, Cleveland, OH and Best in Show Award at John Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland  annual photography show (2010). 

My works are being exhibited on web sites and local galleries and many of them were

acquired by private collectors.
